Siemens "buy"

LONDON, January 19 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Merck Finck & Co maintain their "buy" rating on Siemens AG (SIE-EUR).

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company has acquired a 10% stake in General Electric?s subsidiary, CommerceGuard. According to the agreement, Siemens would possess exclusive distribution and marketing rights for a magnetic RFID/GPS device, the analysts say. Merck Finck & Co expects the container security market to grow to $750 million by 2010, particularly in the US.
