Siemens "buy"

LONDON, March 3 (newratings.com) - Analyst Theo Kitz of Merck Finck & Co maintains his "buy" rating on Siemens (SIE-EUR).

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that a UK-based financial news agency quoted unnamed sources as saying that Siemens has been awarded a significant portion of a contract to build HDTV parts for Deutsche Telekom's new VDSL network in Germany. A part of Siemens' contract is alleged to have been worth about ?600 million, the analyst says. Both companies have, however, declined to comment on this news, Merck Finck & Co adds.
