DaimlerChrysler upgraded to "buy"

LONDON, February 16 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Dresdner Kleinwort upgrade DaimlerChrysler (DAIC-EUR) from "add" to "buy." The target price has been raised from ?47 to ?65.

In a research note published yesterday, the analysts mention that the visibility into the company?s restructuring initiatives and the potential demerger/sell-off of the Chrysler unit has improved. According to the analysts, there is higher possibility of DaimlerChrysler undertaking Chrysler?s demerger going forward, if the unit?s performance improves after the restructuring process.
