UnitedHealth "outperform," target price raised

NEW YORK, December 5 (newratings.com) - Analyst G Nersessian of Credit Suisse reiterates his "outperform" rating on UnitedHealth Group (UNH), while raising his estimates for the company. The target price has been raised from $59 to $60.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that there is now increased transparency associated with the company's operational performance, service issues, market positioning and long-term targets. UnitedHealth expects to post higher-than-expected earnings at its OptumHealth and Ingenix businesses during 2008. The EPS estimate for 2008 has been raised to $3.99.
