NEW YORK, November 7 (newratings.com) - Analyst John Anthony of Cowen & Co initiates coverage of Cisco Systems Inc (CSCO) with a "neutral" rating.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company is likely to grow its share in the global communications and networking infrastructure markets in the long term. The analyst adds, however, that intensifying competition and a broad slowdown in demand might impact Cisco Systems? growth ability in the near term.
