Intel "outperform"

NEW YORK, September 19 (newratings.com) - Analyst John Barton of Cowen & Co reiterates his "outperform" rating on Intel Corporation (INTC).

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company has indicated that it is on track to launching its "Penryn" product family in November and the "Silverthorne" product family next year. Intel has also demonstrated its next-generation micro-architecture, Nehalem, which is scheduled to be launched in 2H08, the analyst says. The company remains focused on retaining its leading market position through the faster introduction of new products and process technologies than rival AMD, Cowen & Co adds.
