LONDON, May 17 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Merrill Lynch maintain their "buy" rating on European Aeronautic Defense & Space Co (EAD-EUR). The target price is set to ?38.50.

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company has reported its 1Q operating headline metrics ahead of the estimates. European Aeronautic Defense & Space is expected to benefit in the near future from the potential launch of A350 by Airbus, which is expected to provide the latter company with a competitive edge over Boeing, the analysts say.
