NEW YORK, September 26 (newratings.com) - Analyst Colin Sebastian of Lazard Capital maintains his "hold" rating on Amazon.com Inc (AMZN).

In a research note published yesterday, the analyst mentions that the company has introduced a public beta version of Amazon MP3, a new music download store. Music downloads are likely to benefit Amazon.com?s existing content offerings and digital distribution infrastructure, the analyst says. Lazard Capital adds, however, that the impact of the new service on the company?s earnings and revenues is likely to be limited in the near term, since margins for music downloads are generally low.
