NEW YORK, January 3 (newratings.com) - Analyst Mark J Rowen of Prudential Financial maintains his "overweight" rating on eBay Inc (EBAY). The target price is set to $40.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company?s US, German and UK listings rose 12%, 13% and 23%, respectively, in the quarter ended December 31. Listings on eBay?s US, German and UK sites are likely to have risen by 14%, 7% and 62% y/y, respectively, in the most recent week, the analyst says. Vehicles and parts on eBay Motors are expected to have risen by 27.2% and 45.1%, respectively, in 4Q06, Prudential Financial adds.
