NEW YORK, January 11 (newratings.com) - Analyst Derek Brown of Cantor Fitzgerald maintains his "sell" rating on eBay Inc (EBAY). The target price is set to $30.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company and its shareholders are likely to face increased uncertainty during 1H08 due to eBay?s initiatives to stabilize and reaccelerate its core Marketplace franchise and the company?s progress on other attractive ventures. The company is also expected to witness margin erosion going forward, Cantor Fitzgerald says.
