UnitedHealth "outperform," target price raised

NEW YORK, January 18 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Credit Suisse maintain their "outperform" rating on UnitedHealth Group Inc (UNH). The target price has been raised from $60 to $65.

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that there is significant visibility into UnitedHealth?s earnings for 2008 and the company is unlikely to experience the commercial operating weakness that occurred in 2007. A potential upward revision to the company?s guidance for 2008 is likely to lead to an upside in stock buybacks and the Medicare Advantage membership, the analysts add.
